Soloviola Nationales Polnisches Radio-Symphonieorchester - Hochschule für Musik Katowice

Dariusz Korcz studierte Viola an der Musikakademie Katowice, Polen. Nach seinem Studium erhielt er die Position der 1.Soloviola der Polnischen Kammerphilharmonie und des Isländischen Symphonieorchesters Reykjavik. Zur Zeit ist Herr Korcz 1. Solobratscher des Nationalen Polnischen Radio Symphonie- orchesters sowie Professor für Viola und Kammermusik an der Musikakademie Katowice. Er ist Preisträger des Rakowski Viola Wettbewerbs.
Neben seiner Orchestertätigkeit ist Dariusz Korcz erfolgreich als Kammermusiker und Solist in Europa und den USA tätig und brachte dabei Werke von Shostakovich, Penderecki, Lutoslawski oder Messiaen zur Uraufführung. Prof. Korcz widmet sich darüber hinaus der Nachwuchsförderung und unterrichtet auf Meisterkursen in Deutschland und den USA. Seit 1996 ist er Dozent für Viola der INTERNATIONALEN JUNGEN ORCHESTERAKADEMIE.

Dariusz Korcz studied viola at the Music Academy Katowice, Poland. After his studies he got the position of the 1st solo viola in the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra Reykjavik. At the moment Mr. Korcz plays 1st solo viola at the National Polish Radio Symphonic Orchestra and teaches as professor for viola and chamber music at the Music Academy Katowice. He carries the award of the Radowski Viola Competition.
Next to his orchestra position Dariusz Korcz is successful as a chamber musician and soloist in Europe and the USA, whereas he often performed works of Shostakovich, Penderecki, Lutoslawski or Messiaen. Prof. Korcz is active in the promotion of young musicians and teaches in the course of master classes in Germany and the USA. Since 1996 he has been engaging as coach for viola with the INTERNATIONALE JUNGE ORCHESTERAKADEMIE.
