Die INTERNATIONALE JUNGE ORCHESTERAKADEMIE (IJOA) ist ein internationales Auswahlorchester, welches in den letzten 15 Jahren mehr als 300 Konzerte in Deutschland und dem europäischen Ausland bestritten hat. Die Akademie wird jedes Jahr neu über eine internationale Ausschreibung besetzt und besteht aus ca. 110 Musikern aus jeweils über 30 Nationen. Während der Arbeitsphase wird das Programm neben den Tuttiproben intensiv mit erfahrenen Dozenten in Stimmproben erarbeitet (nach Vereinbarung ist auch Einzelunterricht möglich). Die Probenarbeit erfolgt im idyllisch gelegenen 800 Jahre alten Pleystein. In Bayreuth selbst wird das älteste weltweit noch existierende hölzerne Barock-Theater mit seiner einmaligen Akustik für Konzerte genutzt. Die Generalproben sowie Konzerte werden von einem Aufnahme-Team begleitet und aus dem Material im Anschluss eine CD produziert. Die Konzerte und CDs der letzten Jahre wurden von der Presse hoch gelobt und mit den besten internationalen Auswahlorchestern verglichen.

The INTERNATIONALE JUNGE ORCHESTERAKADEMIE (IJOA) is an internationally assorted orchestra which has played more than 300 concerts in Germany and Europe over the last 15 years. The Academy is annually casted by an international tendering and consists of 100 to 120 young musicians from more than 30 nations.
During the rehearsals the symphonic program is - next to the tutti rehearsals - intensively studied with renowned coaches for each instrument (private tuition is possible after prior arrangements). Rehearsals will be held in Pleystein, a small idyllic village facing a 800 years old history. In Bayreuth the orchestra will finally play in the eldest existing wooden baroque theater, the Margravial Opera House. Dress rehearsals and concerts are accompagnied by a recording team. A CD will be produced. Concerts and CDs have inspired a great public of thousands of guests and the press has been very enthusiastic over the past years.
