Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal

Daniel Häker studierte von 1984-87 Jura an der FU Berlin, von 1987-93 Pauke und Schlagzeug an den Musikhochschulen Essen und Düsseldorf bei Reinhold Gieschke sowie als DAAD-Stipendiat am Konservatorium in Kopenhagen bei Prof. Bent Lylloff. Seit 1995 ist er als Solo-Pauker mit Verpflichtung zum Schlagzeug Mitglied des Sinfonieorchesters Wuppertal, und seit 1998 ist er außerdem Vorstand seines Orchesters. Daniel Häker ist als Marimbasolist live im Ersten Deutschen Fernsehen aufgetreten und hat an vielen CD-, Rundfunk- und Fernsehproduktionen mitgewirkt. Sein Interesse gilt neben dem klassischen Schlaginstrumentarium auch dem Drum Set, was sich in Projekten wie dem German Jazz Philharmonic, dem ClassiCool Quintett und der Kris Pohlmann Band äußert. Daniel Häker hat seit 2004 einen Lehrauftrag für Schlagzeug an der Bergischen Gesamthochschule Wuppertal und ist seit 2006 Dozent der Internationalen Jungen Orchesterakademie.

Daniel Häker studied law at the FU Berlin from 1984 to 1987, kettledrum and percussion with Reinhold Gieschke at the Academies of Music in Essen and Düsseldorf and with Prof. Bent Lylloff at the Conservatoire in Copenhagen as a DAAD scholarship holder. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Symphony Orchestra Wuppertal as solo timbalist with the obligation to play the drums, and since 1998 he has also been chairman of his orchestra. Daniel Häker made his appearance as marimba soloist live in the First German Television and contributed to a lot of CD, radio and television productions. Beside the classical drum intruments his interest is also directed to the Drum Set, which is expressed in projects such as the German Jazz Philharmonic, the ClassiCool Quintett and the Kris Pohlmann Band. Daniel Häker has had a lectureship for percussion at the Bergische Gesamthochschule Wuppertal since 2004 and has since 2006 been a coach at the Internationale Junge Orchesterakadmie.
